There should always be things that snap us back to our childhood - the smell of fresh, warm cotton candy, the sound of Ernie Harwell's voice on the radio, or a beat-up and beloved toy.

I have a beheaded Luke Skywalker from my childhood. I just can't seem to let him go. He's complete garbage, but that blue glue on the neck just makes me think of my Dad and I trying to fix him in our kitchen.

That's just a great piece there man! No matter the condition, and no matter how old, it's a great toy car. I really like it when someone actually has a toy from their early childhood, and can show it off. I started a topic a while back on LRG trying to encourage folks to dig out any childhood toys that they still had, but it didn't go over well. :( Nobody cared to share.

But it's toys like these that some of us are able to actually hold onto that I think have the most character and joy behind them. In fact if I were to get rid of every figure in my collection, I'd actually only hold onto some of the broken no good figures I have had since I was a kid. They sort of feel like a part of you in some way.
