I thought that as Dr. Rex his character was kind of neat, but there was nothing in the flashbacks that would indicate that he would just go totally psycho. The final mask was goofy... I would have much preferred some kind of take on the mirror mask from the vintage line.<br /><br />Philip - I wouldn&#39;t say that we had totally different takes on the movie. I agree that it was terrible in many ways, and you make some good points in <a href="http://www.battlegrip.com/?p=5255" rel="nofollow">your review.</a> But I think there were a few really cool things that made the movie worthwhile. As for my wife, she is now in love with Snake Eyes. I would have put the Cobra Commander as an epic fail, there was hardly any development in the flashbacks and his voice made me laugh (but at least he didn&#39;t hiss). I also thought the flashbacks themselves were too simple. Anytime we wanted to learn about someone it followed the same design: zoom in for the close-up and...flashback, zoom out. Move to next actor, zoom in for the close-up and...flashback, zoom out.<br />I hope they get a new director for the sequel, just to mix things up.clarknoreply@blogger.com
