Newton - I agree. The more I collect the vintage Playmates ST line, the more I appreciate it. I think a lot of toylines these days lack that feel of toyness that the vintage ST line has.<br /><br />Also, at least the old Playmates figures don&#39;t have a tendency to break apart like the new DST figures.

Excellent review!<br />I had no idea you can get the whole set MIB for just $15!<br />You are perfectly right about the Shatner curse not being true, Playmates totally nailed Shatner both in TOS and in older movies. As much as people like to hail AA/DST sculpting skills, Playmates beat them.

I&#39;ve never been real fond of any Star Trek action figures. However getting to see these in up close photos really makes you appreciate the days when Playmates reigned supreme.
