Although you seem to have missed Bossk, he is clearly the best Star Wars figure ever. :)

Being born the year Empire was released i kinda missed the Star Wars boat and only had a few of the figures as a kid (the only ones i remember distinctly were the breakapart C-3PO and R2-D2). I started a collection a few years ago when i started seeing vintage figures cheap at cons but then got disheartened when i realized how many were missing irreplaceable capes, cloaks, and robes.

But then when i sold almost every Star Wars item i owned (thanks, prequels!), the vintage toys were the only things i kept, it's just such an endearing line. They're packed away now, but i couldn't bring myself to completely part with them.

I hope to get back to buying them again one day, this time with their delicate clothing intact. :)

I love lists and your personal story makes this on...

I love lists and your personal story makes this one even better. Not because there is a right or wrong answer (there isn't), but because I love to see into other peoples' childhood. Did they see the same things as me? Did they play with them in the same way? Did they lose the same pieces? These kinds of discussions are as close as I will ever come to a time machine.

I don't know that I could come up with a top ten. I'd probably have to make two lists: (1) the pre-GI Joe play; and (2) the post GI Joe play. When I first started playing with SW it was only SW and I was pretty young. Around 84/85 GI Joe started to win my favor with their swivel arms. So the SW figures that fit into my GI Joe world started to get a lot more play, leaving the Sand People and Jawas behind.

I love so many of these figures, and they are in m...

I love so many of these figures, and they are in my opinion far superior to anything new they will make. I had very few of the Vintage line when I was a kid though. But I remember them all. And I'm sure if I thought about it many of those would be my favorites due to nostalgia purposes. I know I had Leia(bespin), C3P0, R2D2, Lando(guard), Nikto, Jabba the Hutt, Wompa, Rancor, weequay, and Landspeeder...guess that counts. :P But the Rancor was my favorite, I made him eat everything, and he was the coolest monster figure I probably ever owned. I believe I busted his leg off eventually, and busted out a few teeth from jamming everything down his gullet.

4-LOM's definitely on my list of ten.
