With this month's poll we can finally resolve the age-old debate: Who would win in a duel to the death, Superman or Batman? Sure, Superman has the clear advantage in terms of super powers, but Batman always seems to have some Kryptonite up his sleeve in case Supes goes nuts for whatever reason. Or, do you think they're so evenly matched that they would somehow kill each other at the same time? That might seem absurd, but hey, it happened before when Superman fought Doomsday. Hm... maybe the answer lies in this comic from PassFailStudios.com. Be sure to vote in the poll to your right!

It was Stridor and Wind Raider, neck and neck, but Wind Raider just barely nudged out the robo-pony. I was surprised that the poll was so two-sided.

I'm surprised that the Wind Raider won, but not disappointed. I can recall having a blast with mine, and it was probably one of my favorite of the more standard MOTU vehicles. But we will see what Mattel pulls out.
Now as for this Battle of the giants.
I feel Superman would quickly and easily best Batman in a fight to the death. Although both don't usually kill people...much less other heroes. I just think Superman's super speed and Strength would make short work of Bats in a fair fight. In fact if I were Superman, and was heading on my way to fight Batty, I'd just grab something HUGE and throw it on him from a distance.
However if Batman were to somehow sneak up behind Superman and shoot him point blank in the back with a Kryptonite bullet...he might win. :)
Now if Superman were allowed to keep his special powers (Super Breath, Laser eyes, Super Hearing, etc.), but his speed and strength were taken down to Batman's level, I think Batman would win. As Batman's hand to hand combat, and witty gadgets could easily match Supes and his special abilities.
I like debating Dork stuff. :P I'd like to see more general nerd topics around here myself.
In a fair fight, Superman would win. He's the closest thing to indestructible there is for a D.C. character (not counting vague distant and/or immaterial beings), and Bruce Wayne is a mere mortal
But it's never a fair fight with the Goddamn Batman. He's got all kinds of gadgets, and he's crafty as hell. If push came to shove, I don't doubt he'd find a way to kill Superman. In fact, the "Hush" graphic novel establishes that he has kryptonite in his utility belt. At least I think that was a plot point. I was real sick when I read it and in kind of a daze, so I'm not sure how much of what I'm remembering from "Hush" is my memory vs. my imagination.
