January Poll: MOTUC Vehicles, plus Gross Parody Cards results

Since 2010 will see the first non-figure toy in the Masters of the Universe Classics line with Battle Cat, I was thinking about MOTU vehicles that might get the Classics treatment. This is pretty much a pipe dream, as I doubt we'll ever get any vehicles (no reusable parts, after all), but it's fun to speculate. So be sure to place your vote in the poll at the right, and tell us which vehicle from the first 3 years of the original toyline would you like to see in the MOTUC line (not including beasts like Panthor).

Below are the results from last month's poll:

What toy line would you most like to see turned into gross parody cards, a la Garbage Pail Kids?

Bratz 9 (26%)
Care Bears 5 (14%)
Monchici 0 (0%)
My Little Pony 6 (17%)
Popples 1 (2%)
Pound Puppies 1 (2%)
Smurfs 11 (32%)
Wuzzles 1 (2%)

Votes: 34

Smurfs were the winner, with Bratz a close second (Care Bears and My Little Pony also had strong showings). Maybe I'll whip up a rendition of a GPK-style Smurf myself. The name "Brainy Smurf" is just asking for a gross parody, don't you think?

I loved so many of the MOTU vehicles as a kid. Battle Ram, and Roton were tough to beat, but I voted Stridor. I played with him and Night Stalker plenty, and I think he would kill in a modern fully articulated figure form. And since Night Stalker would make an easy repaint using the same mold, there would be twice the fun. :) Sadly I still won't be buying into the MOTUC line. Battle Cat looks sick, and I can only imagine what Panthor will look like. I hope they give him that furry coat like the vintage one. I played with my Cats more than any other vehicle, and recall going through a few Battle Cats from busting out teeth. I even recall breaking one in half after I sort of cracked him along the seem on accident.

3. Roton (is that it's name?)

A black disk shaped vehicle with a spinning red saw blade around it - that was my favorite motu vehicle, mainly because of the stickers that gave it huge bloodshot eyes and a gaping maw with huge teeth(?)

2. Road Ripper
I'm not sure why I want this one.

1. Battle Bones*
Does that qualify as a vehicle?

Mattel could release a normal version, and then make a variant in pink - it would be made of rubber and could be wrapped around your head*. If they did that I'd buy as many as I could.

(*I doubt anyone will understand the reason I've this.)

Really torn. The Talon Fighter is an important one for me - I loved the record that came with it, and how the castle piece attached to Greyskull...but the Battle Ram has so much importance in the early stories. I don't want a Dragon Walker or a Road Ripper.

I hope you do draw the Smurfs parody. That's what I voted for, although I would have chosen Snorks if it'd been available.
