Toy Review: MOTU Classics Skeletor

Following up last month's He-Man and Beastman is the iconic villain, Skeletor! When I first saw pictures of this figure, I was a bit disappointed. Although it captured the look and feel of the classic figure, it still seemed a bit bland. But last month's MOTU Classics figures really impressed me, so I had to pick up Skeletor. Let's see if those first pictures really are indicative of the production figure.

Toy Review: Power Rangers Super Legends Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger by Bandai

I had just started collecting action figures (in the adult collector sense) when Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers came out. I was too old to appreciate the show as a kid (I was maybe 19 at the time), but I liked it for what it was: a daily dose of Voltron with a Godzilla flair. Comic Book Review: Star Trek Countdown #1

Big movie events these days often have a comic series that serves as a prequel (read: teaser) for the movie. Toy Review: Brave and the Bold Hang Climber Batman by Mattel

Brave and the Bold made its debut and of course with any new Batman cartoon comes new Batman toys! I'm a big fan of the new cartoon. The Hang Climber Batman fits the bill as well as any of the other figures. How does it stack up? Read on!

Toy Tribute: Toxic Crusaders by Playmates

Toxic Crusaders was a toyline developed by Playmates in 1991 based on the Toxic Crusaders cartoon. The source material, Toxic Avenger, was a rather profane and gory B-movie classic. I suppose with the mutant mania that swept through kids in this time period courtesy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Toxie and his mutation-altered buddies was a perfect fit with the time period.

Jan. Poll - MOTU 2002 vs. Classics, and Dec. results

The 2008 Masters of the Universe Classics line is a definite departure from the previous 2002 relaunch. Now that we have MOTU Classics figures in-hand, we can judge for ourselves which is cooler! So this month's poll is asks which style of MOTU you prefer: the 2002 line or the current MOTU Classics line.
