November Poll: Avatar Anticipations, plus Favorite Monster Cereal results

Avatar is by far the most-hyped movie of the year (and perhaps of many years prior), and with two trailers released online (the teaser and the full trailer), I'm curious to see how people are reacting to what we've seen so far.  Do you think it's living up to the hype?  Vote now, and read on for last month's results!

It looks like Count Chocula was the fan favorite here.  There were even a few votes for Fruit Brute! Pretty impressive considering how long ago Fruit Brute was discontinued (1983, according to Wikipedia). Six poor souls somehow trudge through their lives without the awesomeness of Monster Cereals.  Tragic. :(

My expectations for Avatar are the same I have for every Sci-Fi movie that catches my attention: I don't expect too much content by way of good plot and character development. If I want that, I'll pick up a book. (If there is a good plot and great character development, then I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not counting on it.)

What I do expect from this movie is to see a concept that greatly interests me (avatars and uploading/downloading the human pysche) played out in a semi-realistic manner as far as concept-wise.

The special effects could be hit or miss. I'm typically not really fascinated by such eye candy anyhow. However, if it is so bad that it takes away from the movie, then that will be a bad thing of course.
