When the Tim Burton Batman movie was released in 1989, Topps seized on the lucrative opportunity to make cards based on the movie. Being a Batman fanatic at the time, I snatched up all the cards I could. And these cards were way cool, featuring not only great screenshots from the movie, but also sweet publicity shots. So for this first Batman movie Cool Cards entry, I present Darknight (sp?) Detective and The Clown Prince of Crime!
As with many Topps card properties, the first dozen or so cards in the series are character-specific, serving as an introduction to the characters we'll see in the series. Here we see Batman and the Joker, in all their respective Keaton/Nicholson glory! And I love that gold oval Batman logo... that really brings back the good ol' days of Batman movies.

5 out of 5 - Simply incredible!
4 out of 5 - Pretty awesome!
3 out of 5 - Cool enough, I suppose.
2 out of 5 - Not quite good enough.
1 out of 5 - Pretty horrific!
0 out of 5 - No redeeming quality at all.
