Gettin' Jiggy with the Junk Food: Sonic Chili Cheeseburger and Tots

Darrin (of MUSCLE Preservation Society Fame) has a really fun blog called Dad's Dish in which he reviews various and sundry junk food items. In a "homage" (or "rip-off", depending on how you look at it) to Dad's Dish, here's a new feature on the Dork Dimension: Gettin' Jiggy with the Junk Food!

Since this is the Dork Dimension, I just gotta add an action figure element to the reviews. So, in our first episode of Gettin' Jiggy with the Junk Food, we'll join Crayboth and check out the Chili Cheeseburger with Tots from Sonic.

Sonic Chili Cheeseburger (640 Calories) -
The Chili Cheeseburger includes a basic hamburger, American cheese, chopped onions, and chili. It was... meh. The bun and chili tasted a lot like the pseudo-food that was spawned from my high school's cafeteria. The hamburger was better than the bland basic McDonald's hamburger, but it wasn't as good as burgers from Burger King or Wendy's. I did like the onions, which were cut large enough to be a noticeable positive contributing factor to the burger's taste.

Sonic Tots (222 Calories) -
While the burger left a lot to be desired, the tots were amazingly awesome. They were crispy and crunchy but not particularly greasy or messy. I could eat a whole bag of these things. As you can see above, Crayboth gives the tots two claws up.

So, I was not too impressed with the burger but the tots make me want to come back for more. Maybe I'll stack some tots on a burger next time!
