When I was a kid, Moon Patrol was pretty awesome. I wasn't too bad at it either... I was able to get through the first alphabet and the first few letters of the second alphabet on the C64 version. I loved the variey in the game. While other games at the time were one-dimensional shooters, you had to juggle multiple gameplay techniques at once in Moon Patrol: the buggy had to successfully transverse the terrain by jumping over craters and blasting boulders, while engaging enemy UFOs from above.It's also a game that stands the test of time. I play it from time to time on the Playstation (in one of those classic game collections) and it's still pretty addicting. Although I think I've lost a bit of my Moon Patrol magic... I just can't get all that far these days.

I logged many hours on Moon Patrol for the C64. Whenever someone reminds me of a good C64 memory it makes me wish I hadn't thrown it away. It would be crazy to fire that thing up.
