Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are in talks to be the villains in the next Iron Man movie, ComingSoon.net reports from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Rourke is alleged to be the Crimson Dynamo, whereas Rockwell may play a rival "multi-billionaire businessman". It looks like Rourke's performance in The Wrestler is paying off for him. While I'm interested in seeing him in the movie, the character he's supposed to portray, the Crimson Dynamo, seems a bit trite. The villain is described as being an "evil version of Iron Man" who fights in a "suit of armor". Hm... didn't we just see that same dynamic in the last movie with Iron Monger? I don't know that much about Iron Man villains, but certainly there's somebody else who would add something new to the series.

Well, I can't really say anything about the Casting choices, cause I don't know anything about the 2 guys. But I am okay about Crimson Dynamo being the villain.
Really, aside from the small handful of Iron Man copy cat villains that appeared in the comics the only other villains either had supernatural powers in spandex jump suits, or were from another planet. So I think it's best to keep the movie set on this Plane of existence and this planet. :P
Obviously The Billionaire will be Obadiah Stane's son Ezekiel Stane out for revenge....sounds like he will be dealing with the Soviets.
But I have a bad feeling about this flick now that there are more than one protagonist. I feel like it will probably be drug out with constant banter, and such, like Dark night was. But we will see. I liked the first one.
Just to get a perspective on the available villains the directors had to choose from. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing Ultron in a movie, but I'd prefer he was used in an Avengers flick. :)
Just found out that Rourke is Whiplash.....really.. I'm completely surprised. Whiplash wasn't exactly what I was thinking of as a Good Iron man villain. :( Looks like they will be replacing Howard as Roady as well. Interesting I guess. But it really lowers my expectations of the film a little. I dunno...a character like whiplash seems sort of retro. Especially with electro whips as weapons.
