With the recent release of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, I thought I'd take a look back at one of the coolest fighting games of all time, Mortal Kombat II. The first Mortal Kombat game was pretty awesome in and of itself, but MKII pushed the game to a new level. With multiple fatalities, more awesome characters (including a playable Reptile), and Babalities/Friendships for extra fun, this game was way beyond the relatively simplistic first game. It was still lacking an effective combo system (which MKIII would resolve), but MKII was a classic in its own right. I remember many hours of playing this game in the arcades trying to nail down Reptile's Fatalities.
Check out the commercial for MKII below.

5 out of 5 - Simply incredible!
4 out of 5 - Pretty awesome!
3 out of 5 - Cool enough, I suppose.
2 out of 5 - Not quite good enough.
1 out of 5 - Pretty horrific!
0 out of 5 - No redeeming quality at all.
